Know a child between the ages of 6 and 10, who for one reason or another, never had the opportunity to play our great game of hockey?  Introducing the VERY First Shift program, a six-week learn to play program designed to help kids fall in love with hockey.  We focus on having fun while learning basic skills.

Registration is $299.00 and includes head to toe new Bauer equipment and six on ice sessions of learn to skate including fundamentals of hockey. At the Welcome Event, your child will be fitted for and receive his or her equipment.

The First Shift 6-10 Year Olds:

OPTION 1 Fall Sessions – (Must be between 6-10 years old)

WELCOME EVENT – September 4th, 2024

On Ice Sessions - Saturdays @ 1pm - 2pm. Starting Saturday, September 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, October 5th & 12th

OPTION 2 Winter Sessions – (Must be between 6-10 years old)

WELCOME EVENT – January 20th, 2025

On Ice Sessions - Saturdays @ 1pm - 2pm. Starting Saturday, January 25th, February 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & March 1st

First Shift is open to boys and girls who have not previously been registered in organized hockey and who are residents of Mississauga.

Streetsville Hockey League will also be offering a transitional program after Christmas offering a continuation of skills and a game format to help prepare players to join our hockey league..
