Refs and Time Keeper Opportunities

Are you interested in becoming an on ice/off ice official with the Streetsville Hockey League?

The Streetsville Hockey League is looking confident, strong personalities and officials that are respectful of our players and coaches. Our officials must have an understanding of the game of hockey and must have played the game in some capacity.
 
Minimum age of 16 is required to be an on-ice official (Referee).
Minimum age of 14 is required to be an off-ice official (Time Keeper)

All our officials must be willing to commit to do at least a shift every 2 weeks.

If you desire to earn some extra money and get high level of instruction from former OHA officials Mike Duggan and Peter Balsdon, please apply to be an on-ice/off-ice official by downloading the referee application form --> Referee Application. Once you complete the application, please email completed application to John Culleton and Mike Duggan
 
All on-ice officials will attend and pass a Hockey Canada referee certification program. Courses can be found at http://www.gthlcanada.com/referee-clinics/

All off-ice officials will be required to shadow one of our senior time keepers for 2 shifts.

Below is a list of the proper equipment needed to be an on-ice officials

Elbow Pads
Shin Pads
Jock or Jill
